As a global company, Etex has a strong presence in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Building on our experience and global market needs, we strive to improve our customers' quality of living with ever more effective lightweight solutions.

Etex’s lightweight solutions have shaped the way we build, providing shelter and living space for multiple generations. We are global building material manufacturer and pioneer in lightweight construction, offering futureproof lightweight interior and exterior building solutions.

Etex is committed to driving change in the sustainable construction sector, considered as a “must have” and a key strategic pillar, not a “nice to have”. Sustainability is an important dimension for many - if not all - stakeholders, both internally and externally: for retention, to attract talents, for overall reputation, to get new financing, etc. We believe that lacking in sustainability puts you at a disadvantage compared to competitors. Etex’s products and solutions portfolio is intrinsically sustainable. Our sustainability management is accredited by the leading rating agency EcoVadis. Since 2021, we have achieved the EcoVadis Silver rating, underscoring Etex’s collective dedication to sustainability and ethical practices. Etex is rated in the top 9% of companies active in the concrete, cement and plaster industry. For our achievements around environment, we get a top 6% rating. In 2022, Etex launched the “Road to Sustainability 2030” roadmap outlining clear ambitions.

Since 1905, we have been developing, designing and shaping lightweight and long-lasting fibre-cement building solutions. Today, we’re shifting our focus to what lies beyond, aiming to re-use and recycle all our materials, giving them a second life. We commit to producing with less, designing for reuse and collaborating radically across industry silos to build solutions with more lives than one.

Currently, FC waste disposal options mainly include landfilling or low-value downcycling options. We want to use our unique position as a global material supplier to help transform the industry from within and inspire new ways of living. We want to collect and valorise EQUITONE waste across the value chain. Our circularity roadmap shows our step-by-step approach to working on reductions: circular content in design, zero waste sent to landfill, take-back &  reuse, and innovation.
